FAQs

What is specific target amplification (STA)?

Specific target amplification (STA) takes place as a multiplex PCR reaction that uses a low molar concentration of each primer pair (50 nM) and limited cycles (typically 10–18) to provide sufficient template molecules for use on Fluidigm IFCs with lower-quality or limited samples. This allows for unbiased target enrichment prior to performing targeted gene expression on the Biomark HD system.
