How does multiplexing work on the Access Array?
The current Access Array protocol allows up to 10 multiplexing primers per inlet, or up to 480-plex per sample. The multiplexing workflow requires a two-step process. The first step corresponds to target-specific amplification on the IFC. The second step corresponds to the addition of the barcode and sequencer-specific tags to each amplicon pool harvested from the IFC through a second PCR amplification reaction happening on plates.
